Service Description
Course Overview This hands-on course focuses on modeling, simulating, and analyzing grid-forming inverters using PSCAD. Participants will work through a real-world case study, gaining practical experience in designing and testing inverter-based control strategies for modern power systems. Key Learning Outcomes • Understand grid-forming inverters and their role in power system stability. • Develop and simulate grid-forming control strategies in PSCAD. • Analyze system response under faults, islanding, and black start conditions. • Explore weak grid integration and system resilience improvements. Course Structure • Introduction to grid-forming inverters and their applications. • PSCAD Model Development for an example case study. • Control Implementation: Droop control, virtual inertia, and adaptive response. • Performance Analysis: Stability, fault response, and black start capability. Additional notes: • All participants will receive digital course materials, including reference guides and toolkits. • The service fee is tax-included. • Upon completing this course, you will earn the Electromentors' badge and receive a certificate of completion. • Electromentors is an approved provider of IEEE CEU/PDH Certificates. • All purchases at Electromentors are final, and we kindly ask that you review your selections carefully before completing your order.
