Protection Coordination and Calculations of Large-Scale Renewables ⋘Students can contact us to get a promo code for 50% off. ⋙ This course is the part 2 of protection systems design and studies for large scale transmission level renewable power plants such as wind farms, solar farms, and BESS yards focused on protection settings calculations and coordination setup based on ANSI, IEEE, NERC, and other North American guidelines/standards. Attendees are expected to have attended part 1 to best digest the material and benefit from this training. Transmission Line Protection Functions including differential, distance, weak-infeed, and DTT 2. HV Bus Differential Protection Function 3. Anti-Islanding Protection Functions including voltage and frequency protection schemes 4. Sub-Synchronous Resonance (SSR) Protection Functions 5. Breaker Fail Scheme settings including both internal and external 6. Main Power Transformer (MPT) Protection settings including differential, REF, volts/Hz, and overcurrent 7. Collector Bus Differential Protection Settings 8. Collector Feeder Protection Functions including phase, ground, and negative-sequence overcurrent protection schemes as minimum 9. Inverter Skid Protection Functions including overcurrent, fusing, anti-islanding, and ROCOF 10. Auxiliary System Protection Functions 11.
