During the training, participants will gain hands-on experience and insights into the RTDS system and RSCAD software suite. Course Agenda: System Architecture: Overview of RTDS hardware and software components. During this stage, the participants will explore the components available in the RTDS user library along with placement of the components in the Draft environment, running the environment on Runtime and exploring the performance of the real-time simulator. RSCAD Software Operation: Training on RSCAD, covering simulation setup, control, and operation. Users will dive into detailed modelling techniques in the RTDS software environment and create more complex subsystems, power distribution and transmission systems and microgrids. Model Development: Practical exercises in creating and testing simulation models for various power systems. During this stage, users will start developing their own defined converter and inverter models as well as models of directly coupled resources. Users will also gain experience in the development of control systems from scratch. Protection & Control Testing: Application of control algorithms within the RTDS environment. The training will focus also on the performance evaluation of control and protection systems during real-time simulation of transmission and distribution systems, including microgrids. Advanced Modules (PHIL and CHIL): Techniques for integrating physical hardware with the RTDS system. This phase of the simulation will include the interconnection of control and protection systems upon the availability of physical Device-under-Test (DuT) and amplifiers. •The service fee is tax-included. •All participants will receive digital course materials, including reference guides and toolkits. •Upon completing this course, you will earn the Electromentors' badge and receive a certificate of completion. •Electromentors is an approved provider of IEEE CEU/PDH Certificates. •All purchases at Electromentors are final, and we kindly ask that you review your selections carefully before completing your order. Course Schedule: Jan 22- 6 pm EST (3 pm PST) Jan 29- 6 pm EST (3 pm PST) Feb 5- 6 pm EST (3 pm PST)
