Dr. Xuan Wu

Xuan Wu holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science degree from Arizona State University. He has over a decade of experience in the electric utility sector, specializing in power systems planning, engineering, and innovation. Xuan currently serves as Senior Manager for Transmission & Distribution Standards and New Technologies at AES, supporting both AES Indiana and AES Ohio. Prior to this, he was Manager of T&D Planning at AES Indiana and a Principal Engineer at American Electric Power (AEP). He has also taught power engineering courses as an Adjunct Professor at Purdue University in Indianapolis. Xuan has authored over 40 technical publications and received multiple honors, including the 2024 IEEE PES Outstanding Young Engineer Award. He is actively engaged in IEEE leadership and editorial activities. Xuan is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and an IEEE Senior Member.
